Arman Jewelers ("we", "us") runs the store at 7884 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714 and the website arman-jewelers.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • When you buy or reserve something — your name, email, phone number, delivery address and what you ordered. Card payments are processed by our payment provider [CONFIRM: Stripe / PlutoPay]; we never see or store your full card number. We keep the card brand and last four digits for the receipt.
  • When you create an account — your name, email, a password (stored only as a one-way hash), and anything you add: ring size, preferred metal, saved pieces, addresses.
  • When you contact us — what you write, and any photos you attach to a repair request.
  • When you sign up for the newsletter — your email address and your consent.
  • In the store — purchase, repair, appraisal and layaway records. When you sell us gold or other precious items, Illinois law and local ordinances may require us to record your identification [CONFIRM: Niles precious-metal dealer requirements]; those records are kept separately, with restricted access.
  • Automatically on the website — pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location from your IP address, through cookies and similar tools. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner.

We do not collect biometric information.

How we use it

To process and deliver orders, hold pieces for you, answer questions, provide repairs and appraisals, keep your account working, send the newsletter if you asked for it, prevent fraud, meet tax and legal obligations, and improve the website.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers working for us: payment processing, email delivery, shipping carriers, website hosting and analytics — only what they need to do the job.
  • Authorities when the law requires it (for example, precious-metal purchase reports or a valid legal request).
  • A buyer of the business, if the business is ever sold.

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Your choices

  • Newsletter — unsubscribe from the link in any email, or tell us.
  • Cookies — change your choice in the cookie banner at any time. Essential cookies (cart, sign-in) cannot be switched off.
  • Your account — see and update your details in My account. To get a copy of your information, correct it or delete your account, email [CONFIRM: privacy contact email] or call (847) 674-4800. We answer within 30 days. Some records (sales and tax records, precious-metal purchase records) must be kept for the period the law requires.

Keeping it safe

Access to customer records is limited to staff who need it, protected by passwords and two-factor sign-in, and encrypted in transit. If a breach affecting your personal information happens, we will notify you as required by the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act (815 ILCS 530).

Children

The website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes
